Music Classes

Joining a Comhaltas music class is an enjoyable way to learn traditional music.

We in Craobh Osraí offer classes in a wide range of instruments for both adult and junior learners. Classes generally run from September to May.

Our classes are currently held on Thursday evenings, for all levels. Enrolment details are published on our Facebook page and here on our website.

Our Thursday evening classes are currently being held at Dunmore Community Centre. 

We are very fortunate to have a dedicated group of experienced teachers who have been part of our team for several years. We abide by the Comhaltas Child Protection Policy and all of our teachers and supervisors are Garda vetted.

In addition to classes we organise sessions, workshops, concerts, cultural trips and performances which are all part of the learning experience. Our students are also encouraged to participate in the annual County Fleadh Cheoil competitions.

Over the past number of years we have been creating an instrument bank and now have a variety of instruments available for rental to members who are beginning a new instrument. This allows students to decide on an instrument without having to purchase it for their first year of classes.

We have classes in Ceilí, Set and Sean Nós Dancing on Friday nights in Ballycallan Community Centre. Junior classes for all abilities take place from 6:45 to 8 pm. If interested in a Senior Classes please get in touch with us.
